Pet Loss Support Resources

How many times have you heard, "It's only a dog/cat/animal why are you so upset". Some people just don't understand that loosing your pet can be just as traumatic as loosing a human member of your family. We put together the following links for those looking for support and understanding after the loss of a beloved pet. We have also included our own Rainbow Page dedicated to our lost loved ones.

Our Rainbow Bridge

A Life

One night a tiny cry was heard
A Mom had given birth.
Like flutters of a tiny bird
An angel came to earth.

A wondrous gift of life you were
A babe so very small.
Such feelings in my heart did stir
I wondered at it all.

Your tiny body grew so fast
You were my precious one.
With love I watched the days go past
You were my ray of sun.

My heart would leap to watch you play
My hero you became
I treasured each and every day
I loved to call your name.

My darling boy for whom I care
A handsome lad to see
I wanted all the world to share
How much you meant to me.

Like wool that's woven very strong
It's side by side we stood.
My path of life you walked along
You made it very good.

How could it end so suddenly
It wasn't long enough.
I know I have to set you free
How could this be so rough?

You left behind your gift of love
And took this gift of mine.
I know one day we'll meet above
Our stars together shine.

My baby love's sweet cry was heard
There was a different birth.
Like flutters of a tiny bird
An angel left this earth.
